While India boasted a growing number of dedicated golfers, the availability of high-quality equipment was limited. This realization resulted in us setting up of a pioneer manufacturing unit for golf clubs in India. Fueled by our passion for golf, we wanted to extend beyond making indigenous golf equipment. MS. DEEPALI SHAH GANDHI
In the bustling city of Mumbai, amidst the chaotic yet vibrant economy, lies a tale of determination, passion, and success. Meet Deepali Shah Gandhi, re-elect President of Golf Industry Association (2023- till date) and a trailblazer in the field of Golf.
She hails from the esteemed Zaverchand Laxmichand family, as also the granddaughter of Late K K Shah, Hon. Governor of Tamil Nadu. Although she had the option to join one of the many family-owned enterprises, including Zaverchand Gaekwad Ltd, Zaverchand Marketing Ltd, Creative Engineering, Deepika Engineering, and Krishna Corp, which was involved in highly successful manufacturing of engineering products as well as trading in chemicals and textile auxiliaries, yet she decided to make her own mark in the world.
MR. ANAND HARISH GANDHI
Anand Gandhi, hailing from the esteemed EMCO family renowned for manufacturing transformers, brakes, switchgear, clutches, and Medical Electronics, has carved his niche with a multifaceted career. A passionate golfer, Anand, transitioned his focus towards the business of golf, leveraging his background and interests.
Gandhi completed his Masters in Electrical Engineering from Madison, Wisconsin. His professional journey includes pivotal roles such as Director at EMCO Meditek from 1989 to 1995, overseeing strategic initiatives in medical electronics. Subsequently, from 1995 to 1996, he served as Director at K Packs Systems, specializing in manufacturing effluent treatment plants. Since 1996, Anand has continued to contribute as Director at Zaverchand Sports Pvt Ltd, further expanding his entrepreneurial endeavors.

Despite the challenges that came as I was recovering from a fractured arm in a plaster cast, I dedicated myself to meeting our financial year deadline. The supportive environment and guidance from Anand sir and Deepali Ma’am during trying times has shaped my work ethos. I joined Zaverchand in 2002, fresh out of a Diploma in Automobiles. I gained valuable experience working with ClubCar, and my skills caught the attention of the company. I was selected to travel to the US Clubcar factory for advanced training in maintenance and repair of their vehicles. This experience was a highlight of my career, as it not only honed my technical skills but also allowed me to indulge my passion for travel, as I was tasked with delivering superior service to customers across the country. Overall, I'm grateful for the opportunity to have worked with Zaverchand and to have had the chance to combine my passion for travel with my professional development.

Initially, it was a daunting challenge as I was the only one at the Delhi office, but I was determined to learn and prove myself.
